Sam Blake LVT, CCRP
Sam is a Virginia native and grew up in Caroline County. She entered the veterinary field in 2002 as a kennel attendant before becoming an assistant at a local general practice. The animal hospital was owned by a DVM who practiced acupuncture and recognized that companion animals, like humans, needed rehabilitation during their recovery to truly thrive. It was then that Sam found her passion for physical rehabilitation and motivation to become a veterinary technician.
In 2012 Sam became a licensed veterinary technician after completing her studies at Northern Virginia Community College and earned her physical rehabilitation certification through the University of Tennessee.
She has practiced in both general and speciality hospitals over the last 10 years. Her interests include neurological and sports medicine rehabilitation. She is a member of the International Veterinary Academy for Pain Management and American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians. Additionally, Sam holds certifications in animal nutrition, companion animal pain management, and fear free.
In her free time, Sam enjoys spending time with her three children and husband in the Fredericksburg area.
